Women in Islam, Inc. at the Wharton School

Here are some thoughts from Noera Ayaz, our Board Director on her visit to the Wharton School:

A Day in Philadelphia. It was a great experience visiting The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philly. I had the opportunity to speak on a panel, “Women in Islam,” with three incredibly accomplished Muslim women, two Wharton/Harvard MBA students and one UPenn Professor. We fielded some great questions from MBA students on topics including combatting Islamophobia and extremism, Muslim women, inheritance, education, and growing up Muslim in the different contexts of Malaysia, the Ismaili community, and America. There was also some amazing Halal Senegalese food and a stop at a unique Philly mosque.
